Emergency Preparedness Week
May 5 to 11, 2024
Everyone has a role to play in an emergency. Emergency Preparedness Week is an opportunity for you to take action to ensure you are prepared to protect yourself, your family and your community during an emergency.
This year, the theme is Plan for every season! The intent of this theme is to encourage Canadians to take action to become better prepared for the range of emergencies they could face in their region.
All capable adults are responsible to be prepared for unforeseen emergencies. While nobody can predict an emergency, it is important to plan for a variety of possibilities. Your personal plan can make a significant difference to you and your family’s well-being. Emergencies can and do occur without warning.
The resources on this page have been assembled to help you get prepared. Stay tuned to our Facebook Page this week for other helpful tips to learn more about how to prepare your family for an Emergency. Visit our Emergency Preparedness Page for more information!
You can’t predict an emergency, but you can be prepared for one. The Township of Perry is hosting our second annual Community Safety Day, a free public event with opportunities to connect with emergency response organizations and agencies to learn all about preparing for an emergency so you can keep yourself, your family, and your community safe when disaster strikes.
