Recreation & Culture Committee
The Recreation & Culture Committee acts as an advisory body to the Township of Perry Council, regarding matters pertaining to recreation, culture, history, and community events. The Committee plans and coordinates various recreational activities within the Township, including the Family Day Skate Event, the Farmer’s Market, Softball & T-Ball, Ball Hockey, and much more. The Committee also helps to develop volunteer opportunities for students to be able to complete their high school community involvement hours.
The Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Novar Community Centre located at 25 Laurie Street in Novar. We encourage you to attend a meeting to provide your input and ideas which are essential to improving our community.

The Recreation & Culture Committee holds a Family Day Skate Event annually at the Novar Outdoor Rink, weather permitting. This event is complete with a bonfire, barbecued hotdogs, hot chocolate, music, and public skating.
Information on the 2023 Family Skate Day will be provided when available.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FARMERS’ MARKET IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. SEE YOU IN 2023!
The Township of Perry Farmers’ Market is located at the Emsdale Community Gazebo in front of the Municipal Office and runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm from the last Friday in June until the last Friday in August (or longer depending on weather and demand). New vendors are always welcome.

Softball (Ages 6-13) REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE REMEMBER THIS LEAGUE IS A NEIGHBOURHOOD, COMPETITIVE LEAGUE COMPOSED OF PLAYERS WITH VARYING ABILITIES. SPECTATORS, COACHES AND PLAYERS ARE ASKED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES ACCORDING TO THE PRINICIPALS OF GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP.
T-Ball (Ages 4-7) REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
The 2022 T-Ball season will run for 8 weeks, starting on July 5th. Games will be held on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Novar Park located at 54 McCrandle Street in Novar.
