Perry Oldtimer Pioneer Museum – Donors and Family Members of Donors

(March 20, 2025) Due to the significant deterioration and weakening of the back portion (round log portion) of the Perry Oldtimer Pioneer Museum, Council has made the difficult decision to remove the back portion out of caution and to ensure the continued safety of the public in our Community Park. The removal of the back portion will aide in the maintenance and restoration efforts of the front portion square hand-hewn log of the Museum.

The Perry Oldtimer Pioneer Museum has been the keeper of local artifacts and collections over the years, many of which donated by the founding families of Perry Township.

We need your help! If you or a family member, past or present, had donated item(s) to the Perry Oldtimer Pioneer Museum and you wish to have it returned to you, please contact the Municipal Office at 705-636-5941 or info@townshipofperry.ca with the family name and general description of the item(s) donated no later than Friday April 11, 2025.

A process will take place to review the unclaimed valuable artifacts and collections and selected items will be placed in the museum for display.  Some items may be stored securely by the Township offsite, with the anticipation of rotating these artifacts and collections through the Museum so they can continue to be enjoyed by residents and descendants of the founding families alike.   For the items not required by the Township or unclaimed a yard sale will be held for those items in the near future.

Council and staff are working with the stakeholders to assure a smooth transition during the removal of the back portion.

Should you have any questions regarding the collection of donated artifacts or removal of the round log portion of the Museum, please contact the Municipal Office at 705-636-5941.
